Well, it’s been in the rumor mill for a while, but it looks like it’s finally come out. It explains some of the running around that happened earlier today, but it doesn’t make the Newsom Administration look any more together.
Also keep in mind that it was someone who worked for Gavin, and I believe that having an affair with someone who works for you is considered bad workplace practice. Not to mention extremely tacky.
Assuming it’s true, I think what will get to people most is not that Newsom had an affair, but that it was with someone so close. Both someone who worked for him and the wife of someone who works for him. It’s messy and shows bad judgement, as Tim Redmond says. It also reflects on the chaos and lack of purpose that seems to be the rule of the day in the Mayor’s office. He can’t run a city, his spokesman’s a confirmed liar, and he apparently can’t even keep his dick in his pants. Not exactly the governor material we were talking about a year ago.

Gavvy Gav didn’t have the affair. Tourk’s wife did. Gav and Kimmy were getting divorced, so he wasn’t the one breaking any marriage vows, she did. For him, it was a mere hook up. That said, it was really stupid…Much fun ahead, I guess….

Here was a man who Alex had given so much to get elected-and re-elected and this same man has an affair with Alex’s wife. Tells you a lot about Newsom.

I knew Alex when he ran the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services. He took over when Bevan left.
He then left to be the pr guy for the 49ers. Then he resigned that cushy job to run Gavin’s campaign. I asked him how he could leave such a cushy job-and he said that he believed in Gavin so much that he had to do it.
Here was a man who Alex had given so much to get elected-and re-elected and this same man has an affair with Alex’s wife. Tells you alot about Newsom.
