March 25: Third Town Hall Meeting at Cesar Chavez ES, 825 Shotwell (22nd St.) (edit this)
Mayor Newsom’s office has announced that the third community Town’ Hall meeting will be held at Cesar Chavez Elementary School at 825 Shotwell at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 25.
The focus of the meeting will be on healthcare and health care access. The Mayor wants to talk about his plan to provide healthcare to all uninsured San Franciscans.
In January, Mayor Newsom hosted a townhall focused on homelessness in the Richmond that doesn’t experience a lot of homelessness. He was visited by a group of chickens protesting his refusal to participate in the Question Time that was approved by a voter initiative. At the February Town Hall, hundreds of Bayview Hunters Point residents complained to him about his neglect of the neighborhood and his plan to demolish Alice B. Griffith Project to make room for the new 49ers stadium complex without talking to the neighborhoood.
