Quick pix of the vigil at the Federal Building
I stopped by the Federal Building at lunch today and shot a couple quick pictures of the vigil.
The Transgender Law Center did a survey of Bay Area trans folks last year, and soem of the things they learned were:
60% of respondents earn less than $15,300 annually
Only 8% earn more than $45,000
Only 25% are able to find full-time work
Nearly 9% have no source of income
More than half of the respondents report experiencing employment discrimination, but fewer than 1/8 have filed an administrative or civil complaint a s a result.
