Nothing to do with the Presidential election, or the State Senate race. Just a few events I went to over the last week, and one I missed.

Last Friday, I ran across the Iraq Moratorium folks at Fell and Masonic. The Iraq Moratorium is an ongoing protest held on the third Friday of every month in various places all over the country. We’ve mentioned it before.

On Saturday, I attended the annual Bernal Neighborhood Congress. This year’s covered affordable housing, community safety, youth programs, and the potential rebuilding of the Alemany Housing projects.

Attendees included Mark Leno and Ammiano aide Zach Tuller.

On Wednesday, forces arrayed against the landlords’ Hidden Agenda Scheme, Proposition 98, held a Save Our City rally at City Hall. Article about the rally at Fog City Journal. (photos by Steve Rhodes)

Thursday saw the semi-satirical Drive Your Bike to Work Day. Something of a pall was cast on the proceedings by the news that a cyclist had been killed earlier in the day.
