I got an email from a friend saying that there was a posting on Daily Kos quoting an article from the Sacramento Bee about new polling information showing a much different picture on the State ballot propositions. It was great news for us over in the office of the Alliance for a Better California. We practically did a jig.

Nicole Derse and I called a local pollster to confirm. He was cautious and guarded as usual, but he did say the trend is going our way. Again, it all hinges on turnout. The whole reason Schwarzenegger called a special election was because he knows many, if not most, won’t vote. People go to the polls to vote for people. They usually aren’t drawn to the polls to vote on propositions. And going to the polls just to vote no is kind of a downer.

Last July, Binder was predicting a 38% turnout. It will definitely be higher but there is a lot of heavy lifting between now and November 8th. Alot is at stake. Too much really. That’s why so many people who have never worked together before are doing so. So much is at stake that we need the broadest possible coalition to win. Come on down and join us at 1338 Mission to beat Back the Arnold Attack.
